This is our primary separation program for all raster art, detailed color blends, and photo realistic art. It's also what we use to manually create simulated process separations, index separations, and four color process separations.
TO OUTPUT SEPARATIONS IN PHOTOSHOP:
1. Open the file and click the 'WINDOW' > 'Channels' to view the channel selections. This is where you will find the separation plates.
Each plate is labeled. Turn on all the eyes from the "tee" channel to the last numbered plate and see what the separation plates look like when working together. Similar to the color comp. Click on each eye individually to see what each plate looks like.
3. In Photoshop CS3 and CS4 you can check your settings in the print window (when you press PRINT). Under 'OUTPUT' turn on: registration marks, center crop marks, and labels.
If you have any questions regarding what your film should look like, refer to our Printing Separations page or please contact us.
2. When you're ready to print, click on the first plate so you can see what the screen looks like. Then proceed with the steps below. You will click on each plate and print.
